Our mission is clear: To strengthen Catholic education and faith formation for the future of the Church.
Reflecting cherished traditions and deeply-held beliefs, education in the faith is close to the hearts of all Catholics in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Faith In Our Future is an archdiocesan-wide effort that will allow parishes to retain the majority of the funds raised to address their needs. The campaign also finances archdiocesan initiatives that support Catholic education and faith formation for 700,000 Catholics.
Our mission: To strengthen parish ministries in education and faith formation.
Our 211 parishes will reflect upon the pastoral priorities of Catholic education and faith formation and use funds to strengthen these ministries. Each parish will have its own unique needs such as establishing or growing a school or ministry endowment, renovating school or parish structures, constructing new buildings, or enhancing academic curriculums, religious education programs for youth and adults, and charitable outreach.
Our mission: To support youth education and faith formation in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
Whether in Catholic schools or religious education programs, Catholic families know the importance of cultivating young lives of faith, equipping students with the skills they'll need tomorrow, encouraging all youth to realize their full potential, and instilling lifelong Christian values. Our 134 archdiocesan grade and high schools educate over 34,000 students. Over 4,000 catechists in our parishes share God's word with 50,000 youth in religious education programs.
Catholic education and faith formation of our youth must remain strong in order to last a lifetime. We show faith in our youth when we bestow them with its benefits from the beginning.
Our mission: To renew adult and family faith formation in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
Adult Catholic education and faith formation is essential to keeping faith strong and vital throughout life, supporting marriages and holding families together. But in today's Church there are fewer priests and more Catholics. Currently, we are blessed with 41 young men enrolled in Saint Francis de Sales Seminary, the largest number in decades. The need for priests and capable, competent and qualified lay ministers continues to grow.
Faith In Our Future will support a renewed emphasis on Catholic education and formation. It will help fund the new John Paul II Center for diaconate and lay leadership training, marriage preparation, family enrichment, and adult education. Faith In Our Future will also provide vital support for Saint Francis de Sales Seminary and the John Paul II Center to further their missions of forming priests and lay leaders for the future.
Recognizing that all we have comes from God and that we are stewards of those gifts, the Archdiocese of Milwaukee will designate a portion of its proceeds to Catholic education and faith formation initiatives throughout the wider Church, especially in mission areas.
We share a strong and historic commitment to learning the faith in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. This shared commitment unites parishes and archdiocese, families and schools, young and old, laity and clergy in a common cause. By joining hands in support of Catholic education and faith formation, parishes and the archdiocese affirm their faith in each other and in the future of our Church.
